Avery's Getting Bigger

Avery is now 3 and 1/2 weeks old, and according to the scale she is up to 9 lbs 12 oz! We do like to eat in this family. She's had a few visitors in the last week and her cheeks keep getting chunkier so I thought I would add some pics for everyone to see.

Miss Avery Hayes Suiyim Kahn

Miss Avery finally arrived! She took her time and was born 8 days late weighing 7 lbs 2 oz and 19.5 inches long. We are completely awed, delighted, and in love with her!

Sampson was a constant companion during the last month of pregnancy.

How can you not love this face?!?!

Aunt Erin met Avery in the hospital. I believe she stopped by during the only 2 consecutive hours that Avery slept while we were there.

Aunt Erin left Avery a birthday Easter present while she was watching Sampson for us.

During the brief moments we have stopped holding her she has enjoyed her bouncy chair.

Avery's Second Week

Below is a picture summary of Avery's second week of life!

She and Sampson are getting along, although she looks a little skeptical of him in the pic.

It is the driest winter on record (I believe), but since Avery was born it has snowed 5 times I think. We have been having lots of fires to keep her warm.

Mama and Daddy came to visit for 10 days to help us get settled.

Dad turned 63 during his visit so we celebrated with ice cream cake!
